To evaluate the broad-spectrum antiviral activity of TA25, its antiviral activity was tested against ZIKV, DENV, VACV, IBV Victoria and RSV. 2 h after infection, the cells were treated with 30, 20, 10, and 1 μM of TA25 and total RNA was collected at 48 hpi. The expression of (A) HRV-1A VP1, (B) ZIKV NS1, (C) DENV E, (D) VACV E9, (E) IBV Victoria HA, and (F) RSV N genes was analyzed in HeLa cells. HeLa cells were infected with HRV-1A; <t>Vero</t> <t>E6</t> cells were infected with ZIKV, DENV, or VACV; MDCK cells were infected with IBV Victoria; and Hep-2 cells were infected with RSV. The data presented are representative of three independent experiments performed in triplicate. *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001, and **** p < 0.00001, t-tests (Ut = untreated), (ns = not-significant).
